Not Your

Standard

Story.

It started long before STANDARD by SMITH.

Jacob Smith's love for fitness began early, passed down by his Grandpa Sam. What started as an interest in lifting became a fascination with the process—building muscle, getting stronger, and learning what consistent, intentional training could accomplish.

As Jacob transformed his own physique, friends started asking for advice. They wanted to train with him. They wanted to know what he was doing differently.

But what stuck with Jacob wasn't just helping them make gains.

It was watching their confidence change with them.

That's when something clicked:

When you look good, you feel good—and you start holding yourself to a higher standard.

++ Setting His Own Standard

Years later, after his own trials and tribulations, Jacob made the decision to get sober and take control of his health again.

This time, he had nearly a decade of experience behind him.

Over the next six months, Jacob applied everything he'd learned to rebuild himself—his strength, his physique, his discipline, and ultimately, his standard.

The experience reminded him that sustainable transformation isn't built through shortcuts or perfect circumstances.

It's built by showing up with intention, over and over again.

And somewhere in that process, the purpose behind Standard by Smith became clear: take what he'd learned through his own journey and use it to help others build something lasting of their own.

“Looking good is the standard.
Feeling good is what comes with it.”

— Jacob Smith
